BIOGRAPHY
BEA SCHUBERT
Bea Schubert, born in 1959, is a visual artist whose deep connection to the world has profoundly shaped both her journey and her art. After studying at the esteemed University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig under Professor Hermann Albert, where she mastered the fundamentals of painting, Bea took a significant turning point in her career. She decided to break from convention and spent eight years traveling the world with nothing but a backpack.
Bea’s journey became a transformative quest for light, colour, and joy amidst a world often marked by darkness and uncertainty. This profound experience shaped her artistic vision and led her back to her true calling: painting. Her exploration gave birth to the term “AbstractPop,” capturing the essence of her art—a fusion of vibrant neon colours and everyday objects that radiate pure life and exuberance. Her large-scale canvases leave a lasting visual impact, and the central theme in Bea’s work is a celebration of childhood—its wonder, its vibrancy, and its boundless possibilities.
With studios in both Nienburg/Weser and Mallorca, Bea Schubert’s work has gained international acclaim, showcased in galleries and prestigious art fairs worldwide. Her art has been recognized by esteemed institutions such as the German Embassy in Athens and the Chagall Museum in Vitebsk, Belarus. Her pieces are also part of significant international collections, further cementing her place in the global art scene.
