Our approach to artist selection
Selection Criteria
Moné represents professional artists whose work is defined by clarity, conceptual depth, and vision. Our curatorial approach prioritizes distinct voices and a sustained commitment to artistic integrity.
The following standards define the criteria by which all professional practices are evaluated. We invite artists to review these benchmarks to ensure alignment with the gallery before submitting an inquiry for representation.
Artist Application Guidelines
Please review the guidelines below carefully to ensure a successful application process. Adhering to these guidelines will help increase your chances of being accepted for representation.
We accept original fine art in various media, including paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and limited edition prints, among others.
For painters, limited edition prints must be accompanied by original works available for representation. Edition documentation (number and size) is required. Photographers may submit limited edition prints as primary works.
We do not accept reproductions, open edition prints, mass-produced items, or craft objects. Submissions that violate copyright or contain inappropriate content are strictly prohibited.
Submit a portfolio or website that demonstrates a cohesive artistic voice and strong technical execution. Ensure the work represents your best and most recent output, aligned with your current artistic direction. Each collection should show consistency in theme, style, and vision. A unified body of work helps our team and buyers understand your unique perspective.
High-quality images are critical for both application review and future representation. Professional photography ensures your work is presented effectively in all contexts; from evaluation to buyer presentation. Use a professional camera and ensure images are clear, evenly lit, color-corrected, and sharply focused. Photograph artwork straight-on with no distortion, watermarks, or background distractions. Exclude frames or mounts unless integral to the work. Avoid low-resolution images, glare, or shadows.
All original artworks must be created using professional, gallery-standard materials to ensure quality, durability, and longevity for collectors. Accepted materials include:
Professional-grade media: Artist-quality paints, inks, pastels, charcoal, or other archival media from reputable professional brands. Student-grade or craft materials are not accepted.
High-quality surfaces: Professional-grade canvas, archival paper, wood panels, or other archival substrates.
Sculpture materials: Durable, archival materials such as bronze, stone, wood, resin, ceramic, or metal. Works must be structurally sound and suitable for long-term display.
Mixed media: All components must meet professional standards. Use archival adhesives, substrates, and materials that ensure stability and longevity.
Protective finishes: A protective varnish or finish is required to preserve the work's longevity, unless the medium does not require it.
All photographic limited edition prints must use archival materials and professional-grade inks to ensure longevity and gallery-standard quality.
Archival paper: Fine art giclée prints on acid-free, museum-quality paper such as Hahnemühle Photo Rag, Canson Infinity, Epson Hot Press, or equivalent.
Print surfaces: Cotton rag and baryta paper are preferred for their archival qualities and texture.
Inks: Pigment-based inks only. Dye-based inks are not accepted due to fading concerns.
When applying, specify the paper or print surface and ink type used for your prints. Works printed on non-archival materials will not be accepted.
Your application must include an artist bio, artist statement, and CV. Together, these documents provide essential context about your practice, background, exhibition history, and the meaning behind your work. They help our team assess your fit for representation and enable potential buyers to understand and connect with your art.
Include links to your personal website that showcase your artwork. A professional online presence is required for representation.
Minimum pricing requirements:
Photographic limited edition prints: $500 USD
Original artworks (all media): $750 USD
Once accepted for representation, you must maintain consistent pricing across all sales channels, including your website, social media, other galleries, and third-party platforms. We do not accept price discrepancies.
Your pricing should reflect the quality, scale, medium, and market positioning of your work.
All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Submit all application materials in English. Represented artists are required to provide detailed, professional descriptions for all listed works. Clear, compelling artwork descriptions are essential to collector engagement and sales performance. Incomplete, vague, or minimal descriptions will not be accepted.
Artists are responsible for order fulfillment and shipping. Professional packaging standards are required to ensure safe transit. Resources and guidance on logistics, customs, and best practices are available to represented artists.
Evaluation Process
All submissions are reviewed against our gallery standards relative to an artist's career stage and market position. Moné conducts these comprehensive assessments throughout the seasonal calendar.
Should your practice align with our curatorial vision, you will be contacted directly. Please note that we only respond to inquiries that meet our standards for representation.
